If I don’t say so myself, Charlie and I make a great team. Our co-workers and clients often say that it is obvious that we both genuinely enjoy what we do- and they are right! Real estate has been a significant and exciting part of our lives since the first day we met at RE/MAX in Atlanta 10 years ago. Charlie was my Realtor when I bought my first property. He sold me a "fixer upper" and graciously offered to gut the whole thing and do a complete renovation! Pretty slick move on his part, as I consequently had no where to live and ended up renting a room at his house! -And the rest, as they say, is history!
For Charlie, real estate comes naturally. He was born into a family of Realtors and it was only a matter of time before he negotiated his first deal. He has a dynamic, entrepreneurial spirit and is always up for a challenge. He enjoys being out in the field, listing and selling homes. He negotiates with keen skill and experience and gets that sparkle in his eyes when he’s making deals happen. He has tremendous enthusiasm in everything he does, and is an eternal optimist. Charlie really enjoys life’s journey and always remembers to stop and smell the roses. He’s the kind of guy people like to be around!
When Charlie is not out in the car with a client, he is in the backyard hitting golf balls. (yes, we have the flag stick and all) He was a teaching golf professional throughout college and still has a huge passion and terrific talent for the sport. Once his goal was to be a PGA Champion, now it's to win The Simsbury Farms Men’s League Championship. He also has recently become certified in scuba diving, so we just returned from an incredible vacation in the British Virgin Islands, where he got plenty of practice.
As with any great team, I bring a completely different set of skills and personality to the mix. I am loyal to my computer, routines, checklists and charts. I plan things far in advance and take care of the little details. Most of my 12 years in real estate were as a closing coordinator for the largest RE/MAX office in the world. I am fascinated by all of the exciting technology available in our industry and am consistently learning new and better ways to make our office run more efficiently. I thrive on going that extra mile to impress our clients and give them the “WOW” factor when it comes to customer service.
When I am not working, I am usually knee deep in organizing some big social or volunteer event. I am the Director of Publicity for the Simsbury MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and organize a monthly Bunco game for 20 moms. I have just been awarded the "2007 Membership Volunteer of the Year" at The Farmington Valley YMCA and I am the Co-coordinator of The Gifts of Love Annual Fashion Show to benefit a non-profit organization based out of Avon. I am somewhat of a “social butterfly” and have been nicknamed “411” because I always have a pulse on what is going on in the community.
We happily reside in the quintessential New England town of Simsbury, Connecticut. When we became engaged 9 years ago, we knew we could move anywhere in the country to start our real estate careers together. We took the time and traveled a total of 35 states together and both agreed that The Farmington Valley was the perfect place for us to live and raise our 2 children, Mandy (5 years old) and Sutton (4 years old). We feel so fortunate to have found this area and are very proud to call it home.
